I oppose the current drawing of State Senate #20. Southeastern Kent County has different political issues than the lakeshore communities that are included in this district. The communities of Alto and Lowell appear to be divided into 3 different State Senate districts (20, 21, & 33) in this proposal. I thought the entire point of this commission was to end gerrymandering and allow people to have better regional representation? How does dividing Alto & Lowell into 3 different State Senate Districts make any sense especially when the 20th is being added to a Senate District that covers multiple counties and the lakeshore? State Senate districts 20 & 21 should be redrawn.
