All Oxford Twp Precincts should be with Addison Twp in the same State House District. Addison & Oxford Twp share an extremely important, non-partisan community of interest in their single school system.

I support this map with reservations. I believe the Saginaw Bay Watershed and supporting waterways is an important community of interest. I believe splitting the county does not address the needs of this community of interest.
Still terrible. You have deliberately split communities and COIs and shoved areas with no common interests into oddly shaped and absurd districts that will serve no one well.
Hazel Park should be within a district with other small inner-ring Oakland County cities like Ferndale and Oak Park. We have a sizable and growing LGBTQ population and this is a community of interest that links the southern Oakland County communities. We held our city's first Pride event this past August which was attended by over 2000 people. I'm providing that as an example to demonstrate the size of Hazel Park's LGBTQ population.
The republican areas around Grand Rapids need to be split up so the democrats can garner four rep. seats instead of 3. Kentwood/EGR is one for democrats and Grand Rapids is two for democrats. Grand Rapids is being split three ways so the democrats can garner an extra rep seat. Also why the democrat part of Wyoming is being merged with Kentwood to ensure a democrat win.
This district is still awful. The cities in this district have nothing in common with the portion of Detroit that is included. The skinny, vertical configuration looks contrived and created randomly. This should be a purely Oakland County district and have a more horizontal configuration to include Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, etc. Also, splitting Oak Park makes no sense.

Thank you for keeping Texas and Oshtemo Townships together with Portage. Given that Texas Township kids attend Portage schools, this makes sense from a COI perspective. This also puts together three suburban areas around Kalamazoo.
I'm a former mayor of the City of Albion. Please change this district. Albion and Battle Creek have significant African-American populations which should be aligned as communities of interest. Both are industrial towns and share institutions of higher education. You could achieve this by drawing a district similar to the current maps.
The verticle path of the districts are rediculous. Its matching new suburbs with other tattered areas, its is unlike with unlike and allows domination by Republicans. An horizontal path would more likely put like with like and be fairer. The new schedule is limiting the power of diversity with minority people.
I like this district. Traverse City and Leelanau County share similar values and have more similar economies than TC and lower GT County.
You should not split Plainfield Township, it should be one township and be included iwth Rockford.
I cannot stress enough how awful the districts in southern Oakland county are on this map. They look like they were randomly generated by a computer. Farmington should be with Farmington Hills, not a random sliver of Detroit 10 miles away, and so on. No one will be happy with these districts
I like this change proposed by Commissioner Rothhorn. It splits up the City of Wyoming, but it unites the Kelloggsville and Kentwood School Districts. It's not a true "opportunity to elect" district, but it also ensures that the minority populations in Wyoming and Kentwood are in a district where they have a good chance of electing their candidate of choice. This alignment should also help with the partisan fairness metric.

This version splits Grand traverse County into two legislative house districts. Suggest that Leelanau county be included with the 101st and Kalkaska County be in the 102nd.
