Well, I'll just keep beating my drum. Washtenaw again in 7 districts, which then extend FAR into surrounding counties??! 66 and 65 are the most egregious. I live in rural Saline Twp. Every map I've seen has this disenfranchising arrangement for Washtenaw County. Communities of interest must remain together!! Where is the respect for communities of interest, or even simply county lines?

If one goes to districtr.org and plugs in the districts for Kent County, they will find out that the democrat controlled "Independent Commission" has created 5 democrat leaning districts and the equivalent of 2 republican leaning districts. Kent County is a republican leaning county but an uniformed person who views the district majorities would think Kent County is just like Wayne County. Now the democrat controlled "Independent Commission" has been creating this type of districting around the whole state. Actually the democrat controlled "Independent Commission" hired a company with democrat party connections to create these districts. The democrat controlled "Independent Commission" just gives the maps created their stamp of approval. Gerrymandering it is called.

I appreciate your efforts. However, I disagree with the notion that the needs of residents of the eastern edge of Ingham county, largely rural and agricultural and similar to western Livingston county or the areas north in the October and Pine maps can be considered a reasonable balance to the areas that include Michigan State University, Okemos, Meridian Charter and western Williamston. Webberville, Dansville, White Oak, Leroy and other townships, and Stockbridge have little in common with those sections of the county. Our voices and needs will be obliterated by the largely privileged and imported voting base in those north western sections. Please reconsider.

Badly gerrymandered to gift the democrats permanent control and silencing the voices of opposition to the left wingers. Do not use.
