With so much focus on Race and strong reliance on 2022 boundaries, this does not change the districts enough to meet the changes requested by the Court.

While the VRA indicates a greater number of opportunity districts in comparison to my preferred map, my primary concern is that this map appears to continue the set of rubrics that ultimately led to the maps being reconsidered in the first place. Basically, I don't think this map would ever pass muster, and so should not be considered.

The worse of all the maps. Districts 5 6 7 1 13 12 have smidgeons of south Baseline representation while Districts 4 and 8 look like splotches. Could be called the Tetris map
Sydney LaDuke
I do not like that this map continues to divide my neighborhood of East English Village (Cadieux --> E. Outer Drive/Whittier and Mack --> Harper). My neighbors and I protested this with the original re-districting proposal and still strongly disagree with splitting up our strong, stable neighborhood into two districts!

Another bad map that continues the illegal practices that were already thrown out by the courts. Districts 5 and 6 are particularly egregious. District 8 is lacks compactness and any rationale for its shape. The City of Warren is broken into too many districts. Keep dilluting the Detroit vote like this, will get sued again and again.

This map does not comply with the guidelines because it inherits the same district boundaries in the maps that were struck down. It is likely not VRA compliant and should not be chosen because it is doubtful the court will accept it compared to other maps.

Van Buren Twp, as an anchor of the I-94 corridor between Ann Arbor, Willow Run Airport, and DTW and therefore a significant portion of the extended Detroit metropolitan commercial area, should not be included with rural areas that include farming communities such as Maybee and Oakville. Our community interests in VBT are more in line with those of Ypsilanti Twp and Canton. I feel placing Belleville and VBT into (primarily rural) District 31 will not provide representation that is supportive of our more urban character and identity.

This map completely disregards the long-standing COI between Harper Woods, Grosse Pointe Woods and Shores, and St. Clair Shores. Those communities share the Milk River InterCounty Drain District and a pump station (waste processing) and Board representatives. We all have the same water and environmental issues and have the same flooding issues we are trying to resolve. In addition, Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods share public services, including mutual fire and police aid and animal control. Harper Woods is part of the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce and shares a portion of the school district. This map disregards that long-standing and traditional COI and would disrupt our joint efforts in representation.
